This Privacy Policy explains how Grind Gurus LLC ("GrindGurus," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you visit grindgurus.com (the "Site") and when you interact with our content and accounts on third-party platforms such as YouTube, Instagram, Threads, X, Bluesky, and TikTok.

Information We Collect

• Information you provide: such as your name and email address when you contact us or subscribe to updates.
• Automatically collected data: our server access logs (via Amazon CloudFront) record request date and time, browser type, pages visited, referring URLs, and response status — whether or not you accept optional analytics. This is aggregate server logging, not cookies or browser storage; see Cookies & Analytics below. Anything sent to analytics providers is gathered only if you accept optional analytics.
• Social platform data: when we connect to social media APIs to publish or manage our own content, those platforms may process data according to their own policies. We only access tokens and account data necessary to operate our own GrindGurus accounts.

How We Use Information

• To operate, maintain, and improve the Site and our content.
• To publish, schedule, and manage GrindGurus posts across our own social media accounts.
• To respond to inquiries and communicate with you.
• To analyze usage trends and measure the performance of our content.
• To comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.

Third-Party Platforms & APIs

GrindGurus uses official APIs from third-party platforms (including but not limited to Google/YouTube, Meta/Instagram and Threads, X, Bluesky, and TikTok) solely to manage and publish our own content. Our use of information received from these APIs adheres to each platform’s developer policies, including the Google API Services User Data Policy and the limited use requirements of the respective platforms. We do not sell data obtained through these APIs, and we do not use it for advertising or transfer it except as necessary to provide our services or as required by law.

Cookies & Analytics

The Site uses no advertising or marketing cookies, and there is nothing here that follows you to other sites. What it does use falls into two groups.

Necessary

• Your consent choice. Whichever option you pick is saved in your browser’s local storage under grindgurus-analytics-consent. It is not a cookie, it is never sent anywhere, and it exists so you are not asked on every page.
• Cloudflare Turnstile. The newsletter signup form runs a Cloudflare Turnstile check to keep automated submissions out. It loads only on the page carrying that form, and is limited to deciding whether the submission is human — it is not analytics and it does not profile you. Loading the widget sets no cookie; completing a challenge may involve Cloudflare setting a short-lived one of its own.
• Server access logs. Amazon CloudFront logs each page delivery and outbound link redirect in aggregate, whether or not you accept optional analytics. These server logs use no cookies or browser storage, and our configured log fields omit IP addresses and form values. They are stored in a private Amazon S3 bucket and automatically deleted after 30 days.

Optional analytics

With your consent, the Site uses PostHog for privacy-conscious, aggregate website analytics: page visits, referral source, explicitly labelled clicks, and newsletter conversion. Session replay and automatic event capture are both switched off, and we do not send email addresses, names, or other form values to PostHog. Nothing is sold, and none of it is used for advertising.

Nothing analytics-related loads until you accept. Until then PostHog’s script is not requested at all, so no data — including your IP address — reaches it. Choosing “Reject” keeps it that way and stores nothing beyond the choice itself.

If you accept, PostHog stores an identifier for your browser:

• ph_<project token>_posthog — a first-party cookie, mirrored by a local-storage entry of the same name, holding a randomly generated device and session identifier. It contains no name, email, or address.
• __ph_opt_in_out_<project token> — a small cookie recording that you opted in.

Changing your mind

Use Cookie settings in the footer of any page. It reopens the same card, and withdrawing is one click, exactly like granting was. When you withdraw, collection stops immediately, the opt-in cookie is removed, and the stored identifiers are regenerated so they no longer correspond to anything collected earlier. The ph_… cookie and its local-storage entry themselves remain in your browser until you clear site data for this site, which you can do at any time through your browser’s settings.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with service providers who help us operate the Site and our content workflows, or when required by law, regulation, or legal process.

Data Retention & Security

CloudFront access logs are deleted after 30 days. We retain other information only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy and take reasonable measures to protect it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you. To make a request, contact us using the details below.

Children’s Privacy

The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
